The day I can pull my 4 place with an ev truck from Saskatoon to Valemount with a 30 minute charge in Edmonton in -30 is the day I trust an ev sled to last 120km in the Backcountry with charge to spare. These things use the same battery tech as everything else, they're not magic. If they had some secret they would be busy taking a bite out of Peterbuilt and Boeing.

Once the automotive indistry has developed and mass produced the tech then it becomes feasible for the smaller recreational vehicle companies to utilize the technology. so once you see that truck that can haul your Rig from saskatchewan to Valemount you will likely see the sled to match it 5 years down the road from that.

Get your buddies to tow a sleigh behind thier 850 turbo with a generator pack up to the alpine and drop it off at the gas can drop off. Ride for a couple of hours. Then Head back to fire up the generator and recharge while having a snack. Problem solved.

Big difference, I wouldn’t ride with someone who would run out of gas without no spare fuel.

Get a chopper to bring you another battery or drop a spare at the battery drop??? Lol

How is that problem solved? Guys have to go out of their way to pack a generator because a buddy purposely chose to ride a electric sled?
Why cant he tow his own generator than. Kinda defeated the purpose of a electric sled isnt it?
I think the tech is way to early to be reliable, especially in the winter.

Im all for ebikes and such, I think they would be alot of fun, especially when camping.

I would buy one. - to go eco- exploring in all federal parks. I promise not to charge it on coal fired generators while it is in Banff/ Jasper parks.

Even being a Perto-head I'm loving the thought of an E-machine.

Silent, no vibration, no fuel or oil to worry about 100% of its power on demand instantly and minimal maintenance, what's not to love?

In ten years when all the issues are all sorted and ironed out I'll be all in on buying one, depending on the price.

As to the question of where are you gonna charge one in Revy or elsewhere I'd guess once these come out hotels will be adding chargers right chicken charlie to entice anyone that owns one to stay at their hotel. Charging won't be an issue.
