Ok fellas, can't decide if i'm gonna keep the xm one more season or jump on a t3 163. With the track and chaincase put aside, is the front suspension ergonomics that much better? I dont want to upgrade just for the sake of the 3" and attack angle as most of my riding is in pretty tight quarters and I am quite happy with traction and how it gets up on the snow. If the additional changes to the sled especially reduced feedback through the bars are quite noticeable that would definately interest me. Any info on handling changes with track aside would be appreciated. THNX

I know I'm gonna hold onto mine for another season, it was just to much fun and ran so awesome to get rid of it. I too am curious about the suspension set up but with a few of my friends snowchecking this year I'll be able to test them out next season... Hopefully haha. Also give that suspension a year in the real world to see how well it does. And I don't really think I need a 3" track all that much for the couple trips out west a guy makes. That's is just my thoughts on it.

I'm not deep into the technicalities of all the details with any of the sleds. Here is my opinion on the 2015 T3's.

The 3" will make a difference in the "tractoring" as the 2015 is just going to want to keep going! I know an extra 1/2" on the paddles doesn't seem like much but the 3" tracks I have seen work! With the 174", IMHO, the front end (staying on topic) is going to be lighter (more weight on the extra 5" of track on the snow) in most set-ups and that should transform into better manoeuvrability in the trees and powder. As far as the whoops on the trail, I don't think there will be a noticeable difference over the 163". Did anybody really notice the difference on the trail from the 154 to the 163? There is a definite difference from the 137" or 144" to the 163" but maybe not that much from the 154". In my mind, it was so very slight it was hardly worth talking about.

The powder days are going to be glorious next winter............heehaw!

I rode one on the weekend and it kicks ass. Every thing on that speed works together to make a great sled it works together to make you work less.

I would agree after our weekend ride as well. Extremely well thought out sled with Tweeks and bigger track, it's all good.
Coming down the trail Summitric really noticed the handling was improved with all the stutter bump and woops.

Keep in mind, we were trying everything in our powers to get them stuck, and "beat on 'em", and i seriously beat on the 174 coming down the very bumpy trail at the end of the day, but everything was perfectly in tack. The shocks never softened or heated up, ride and steering were consistent ....

I was in front of Ric on a 2014 163 and couldn't loose him, he was sitting and I was standing. I was "impressed".

Not what Ric has in mind when he thinks about chasing bunnies!
