I’m looking for a big wake / surf boat. I was told that the Nautiques make a huge roller. Other suggestions welcome, but I’m lookin for the big ones only. Lots of power and room.

New Mastercraft X24!!!! This thing throws a tsunami. If you go on the Mastercraft Team Talk Forum you can find info. I think Martin May have 1 for display. Beautiful boat but it ain’t cheap. I’ve heard numbers in the $275k range but I’m too scared to ask. Boats have gone crazy in price.

not only surf size... but you gotta try a couple boats and see if its the right ride and feel for you... some boats ride like a boat.. others feel like your in a sports car all while having the same waves required. G Series nautique is good, ive got a malibu vlx 22 and love the size and feel, perfect for us. ive tested the new centurion boats... and they abolutly rock for wave size (shape of wave especially) . youve got tons of choice in the 22-23'wake boat class, features are all about the same..

First question: what’s your budget? If the sky’s the limit I’d be ordering a Mastercraft X-24 no questions asked...

If your budget is somewhere in the $100k-$130k range I’d be looking at a Mastercraft X-23 or a Air Nautique G23/G24. In my opinion nothing out there compares to Mastercraft or Nautique in the high end wake boats. Plenty of lightly used options at that price point. Add $30k-$50k if you want a new one.

My wife and I have a Mastercraft X-2 and love it. It’s definetly doesn’t throw the same surf wave as some of the aforementioned boats but at least it’s paid for LOL ours is a 2008 and still looks/feels like new. The build quality is really second to none. I challenge anyone who disagrees to compare a 10 year old Mastercraft to any other boat out there and see how they look when the lipstick wears off a bit haha

i have heard those exact same words from several people about the master craft boats. I’m not bound by price, but I want something with some power to fly down the lake, that has enough room for all of us to spread out in and not be piled up on top of each other, is push button make it happen kinda thing.

A 23’ or 24’ MC will check off all your boxes. On some of those bigger boats you’ll want at least a 400HP option IMO. They have options from 300HP to 550hp (and maybe more?). This coupled with the tabs will get you on plain nice and quick. Plenty of room inside and the newer ones all have flipping seats and sun beds and rear flip up seats for spotters etc.

To put it in perspective ours is only 20’ with the pickle fork and routinely have up to 10 ppl in there with all our gear, coolers etc no problem. 24’ would be palatial! I’ll also run 3000 pounds in bags plus the factory ballast (and 5-9 people) and still be able to pull someone’s arms off with the 350.

Throws a pretty big wake! I usually surf 10ft behind the boat forsure . Big sweet spot! And for wakeboarding i have no complaints


575hp indmar raptor motor with roush supercharger! The thing sure moves for being 26’6” to the back of the swim platform!!

I believe there’s 3 different tie offs on my top and that’s the middle one . I really don’t know how far it is but when I jump the wake it’s about 20ft wide

If you're looking for a basically new boat at a lower price point, my son has a low hour 23' (I think) Moomba Mojo 2.5 for sale. Don't know all the specs on it, but it throws enough wake to pizz off most of the people on Moyie Lake. Pretty much looks like it did in this pic when he bought it new. It was never off the trailer this year, and only used twice last year. Stored inside his shop in Sparwood. If you're interested PM me and I'll get you guys together.

What do I know! Apparently it's a 26 foot. Don't know if that includes the swim grid. 17 person capacity. 365hp Vidmar small block....whatever that means.

I got a new moomba max back locker is over 5 feet deep and has a nice pearl black paint, old moomba made a great wave im sure this one will to lets see some g or mastercraft waves? Worth the extra 100gs? I get fit and finish is top notch but comeone this from a guy that has a platty lol

Only decent picture I have of our goofy surf wave, my fiancé probably has another 4-5 ft behind her of surfable wave she just doesn’t like being back that far!!

If you have the time I think the best thing is to go and sit in all the boats. Pay attention to the fit and finish of everything along with the vibe you get from the people you meet. Ask to talk to the service people. At the end of the day this is an expensive toy and you want to be happy with your decision. IMO no one builds the quality of boat Mastercraft does. We love our X15 and know that we could still sell it today for what we paid for it. Only glitch is that we could never get back into the same boat at that price point.
