So I get a call last Friday from my buddy Dave ("No Bad Days" on this site) he's a snowmobile club member and Whitecourt jet boat club member. Seems that when they were laying out the course for the jet boat races before the long weekend, they stumbled across the back bumper of a sled sticking out of the rocks on a gravel bar in the middle of the Athabasca River. Dave said that they were going to go and try to get it out, did I want to come along. Sure, why not......below are the pictures of that sunny afternoon, looked like it was stolen, stripped and thrown off the bridge upstream. Serial #'s had been scratched off the tunnel. Took about 3 hours of digging and flushing with a 2" trash pump to get it out.....
Also removed 3 empty 45 gallon drums from the bank that day and Dave and another dude were headed to windfall to pull a quad out of the river that Sunday....
S and M t-shirt was a coincidence
