That would be the installed price which would give you a 1 year warranty. Its about $1000 to do the install.Been there.

You cannot compare unless you know both sleds, mod vs stock cannot be compared. Hell, there is some RT's out there that will spank a lot of turbo yamahas....all depends whats done to the sled.

A stock rt running good, will spank a stock rev without issue. On the trail, or in the steep and deep. Part of the problem is some don't run right and people don't know how to get them to see their full potential.

Take one out for a spin, and you'll see.

My rt with a 162" has WAY more getup on the trail then a 07 800 rev 144", a lot considering how much more track the 1000 has to spin. It the steep and deep it's not even a fair competition because the rev doesn't have a hope in hell.

I'd show you next year CUSO, but my RT will be pushing 200hp by then and likely a 174" so then it wouldn't be quite fair at all :p

i 162 has alot more traction than a 144. hence why my 163 takes out most all sleds on the flat until about 60mph then they catch right up

In 07 we had three brand new 07 159" xrs and two 162" 05 RTs and they would pretty much climb the same place. The heavier the snow got the better the 1000 seemed to do. Hagmanmod 1 on here and I both have the same mods on his XRS and my RT and I will say the RT will take the highmark because of the torque the sled produces in the long pulls, but is a bit of a tank to ride.

Its fairly close. My advantage is I run a three inch at the same track speed as his two and a half. I would like to see how his would do with the 3 inch on it though.

Well guys I wish I could transfer graphs on this computor but I cant so I guess you will have to take my word or go to Dootalk-Machz site. Blue max put up a Dyno sheet showing various ECU maps for the stock 1000.I run the 07 mid-alt map so I will just show hp #'s ranging from 7000rpm to 8100rpm. 7000-153.5,7100-155.8,7200-163.6,7300-167.9,7400-175.3,7500-177.5,7600-180.1,7700-182.5,7800-183.1,7900-182.5,8000-179.1,8100-170.2. The 05 and the 06 never came with this mapping. Once installed though,it made a big difference in performance in cleaning up the bottom end bog and plug fouling issues that plaged the 1000.

Seems a little peaky just from the #'s that you are showing in such a short RPM range, especially for a 1000, the cumulative horsepower should be more. I'd like to see the BSFC values for the dyno graph because anything less than 0.7 is getting on the lean side for a bigger motor and not really reliable over the long run IMO. If you honestly think that your sled is making 180 HP, I really really really encourage you to dyno it yourself and not rely on some internet #'s.

We're not saying they aren't a decent sled, I've seen a few good ones out there, but they had their issues like all others do.

my friends dad bought a 1000 and the top end was gone because the belt fluff got into the air box and got into the crankcase and plugged off the oil journals. thats wat he said

No doubt they have some issues, no one says they don't. But they aren't any less relieable then a rev either as some people like to claim. And a 800 will NOT hang with them is the big thing. It's just like saying a 600 will climb with a 800....

I am curious and will probably dyno mine this summer, but it will be after some mods that I hope put me over 200hp.

please tell us what is going to put you OVER 200 hp...?

big bore porting head and some progamming may yeild 180-185 MAYBE

nitrous? ya you will be over.

i was trying to find that dynosheet on DT from the guy who made 161hp with a full exhuast, head and a programmer.

still the sled is 70 lbs heavier!!! how many ponies do you need to compensate for that alone!!!

Umm considering stock is low 170's, with my current mods i'm pushing high 170's, won't take much to top 200, and as I said hope to be over 200, it might hit 190 or 195, dunno. Not a chance will I run nitrous or big bore either. A big bore would be pushing a lot more then right at 200.

Just pipes, can, boondocker control box, pods, and a few other goodies.

It WAS 71 lbs heavier stock, don't worry i've already made up a LOT and doing more. Haven't decieded yet though, if I go to 174", I don't give a crap about trying to loose more weight. I pack heavy, and i'm 285 myself, weight isn't exactly my biggest concern, my pack is probably 40lbs+-.

Doing the math, ready to ride the 1000 is about 600lbs? So what 11% more weight? Lets say the 800 is 150 (generous), and the 1000 is 170. That's about 16% HP increase and that's moderate, I bet it's more then that.
