Your right Doo is the best bet POL's can't keep the 800 from blowing up. The new M8 cats are going into rev by themselves and buddies that have bought them have been told by Cat they don't know what the problem is they have switched out rev control button no luck. Love the XP just takes a little getting used to.:d
thats kms...not miles
i ride 80 days he rides what 200?
Modman, that vid was hard to watch,,, if that's boondocking,
Sorry, just an observation.

I've been reading this post the last couple of days and can't help but to throw in my 2 cents.
My point of view is of a person who was (and maybe still is) a Diehard Doo guy. My last Doo was a 2008 XP 800 146". Owned from new and loved this sled! This year I sold it just before Christmas in hopes of picking up a new E-tec 800. There were no E-tec's to be found in my area sooooooo, I made a drastic change and picked up a new 2011 Assault 800 155". I have not regreted making this decision for one second since then. The handling, the ride, and yes the even the motor exceed what I expected from this Polaris. I know, I know 2007-2010 POO motors are junk, but I think this new 800 is different. I am not going to sit here and say that this thing is bullet proof by any means, but so far I could not be happier. This sled is bone stock (with the exception of making Primary Weight changes for elevation) and it does everything and IMO more than what my doo did- In the hills and on the flat. My DOO cost me alot of money in after market goodies to get it to perform to my liking, My POO is bone stock, Gas and go!
And just as another note regarding all the comments on all the POO motors going down.........I had the top end on my DOO let go last season and that cost me alot of money (4 weeks off warranty and no BRP help), and now I read around this year on here and over on Dootalk and am amazed at the amount of posts I read recently of how many more DOO motors going down that are showing up yet it seems to be the POO failures that repeaditly keep getting brought up...............just sayin.[/QUOTE]
because they are premature failures.
most less than 500km....or 3 motors in 500km
yep a doo goes down at 2500km it does suck but it doesnt happen to everyone. same goes for poo
theres not 1 brand thats any better hen the other, its all dealer. a dealer can make anything happen (if hey want)... ride what best suits you, and shut up about the rest. if you want to bitch about somehing that doesnt concern you go on montel or oprah . JUST SAYIN....

ya a 155 tends to be better in the deep than a 146

How many KM on your 2010 Now.
...so if your driving down the road in your truck and you smoke a rock as big or bigger than your vehicle your gonna be mad at the manufacture when you have all kinds of broken? NO! so stop bitching....sleds arent meant to be driven into rocks...
As per the ride...always ridden doo and always love them. To each their own, but from what ive seen the new pros seem to rip pretty good right out of the box! Good for polairis! They have needed a good sled release for a long time!
