Good time to cash out.
Good time to cash out.
dan your spose to be playing with that stuff in your tfsa
For me best money has been land/ real estate. I bought my first quarter at 16. Sold at 200%. But alot of hardship there. Due to circumstances I'd prefer to still own it. And still would if it wasn't for a broken relationship. Gains in stock market have been about 9% each year for the last 7 years. Always said freedom 35 but at 40 still no freedom.
Yea that's unfortunate. 9% is good return, but real estate definitely pays better especially with low interest rates to borrow the bulk of the money. Much more risk in a way but I really like having control over my investment instead of basically having a piece of paper that could be worthless. Always the upside there will be a massive real estate boom again at some point.
Warren Buffet made 100 billion on stocks, and some people loose their ass lol
Same thing in real estate, some make a fortune and others go broke....
I almost doubled on the ether funds over the last month but have sold out now
holding 80% cash in accounts and waiting for the next correction

So say there was this guy who had a good batch of RRSPs (I assume most are in mutual funds) and he wanted to protect that chit from getting creamed in a "correction", how would he do that? Keep in mind this guy really has no idea about market terminology, etc....I've sold 90% of everything as well, including my mutual funds. I'm done letting someone else manage my money for a measly 8-9% annual return.
I am holding a small amount of EDDY:TSX-V. Solely out of intrigue.
