I switched ALL my self directed investments to Canadian Energy stocks last February. It's made checking stocks very simple, #1 When I fill with fuel. 2) WTI price. I know it lacks diversity, however my 12 month return is over 63%. Ensign Energy is up over 80%, Murray Edwards runs the show at Ensign, he has a reputation for success and integrity. I know I'm not astute enough to hit the market high but I'm working with a giant margin, so when I go to fill up and it cost less than $150 I will put in my sell order, until then I'm hanging lose, riding the big wave.

Murray Edwards model that made CNRL what they are if he’s running the show it’s legit. Low cost producers always thrive.

I been looking at ESI (Ensign Energy) as well. The 5 year view was at a cap just over 9.59 in Dec of 2016 to a drop in March 24 to .30 now is at 2.05 up 30.57% in the past 3 months. Looks decent. When did Murray Edwards take over the reins?

The majority of my Canadian Energy Stocks have performed very well. BTE Baytex Energy Return at 130.33 %, CVE Cenovus Energy at 65.50%, ENB Enbridge at 7.70%, PPL Pembina Pipelines at 7.70 %, SU Suncor at 15.32 %, TCW Trican Well Service at 15.34%. I have recieved Dividends on the PPL, SU, ENB, CVE, Even DOO

Wish I would have put some money in the BTE and CVE stock when I did those are both huge return.

Yeah, I wouldn't bother if you want to do it on a small scale. The only way it can really work for the smaller user is if you already use electric heat in the winter. I do appreciate the soothing white noise from a room stuffed full of s9's though. Figure out equipment cost + electricity cost (price your kWh after all the fees and taxes) and don't forget that the difficulty of mining is always increasing so over time you will get less bitcoin for the same amount of work. 95% of the time you will do better just buying and holding long term.
I agree with that statement for the most part, bitcoin has had some ups and downs though. And if you had a decent setup plugged in and mining for the last 5 years chances are you did pretty good.

If you go buy a bitmain s19 today for 18000$ and plug it in for the next 5 years will you make money? Who knows its a gamble forsure.

If you go buy 18,000$ in bitcoin today and hold onto it for 5 years will you make any money? Who knows its a gamble.

With the way they are printing money world wide i like the odds though....

I'll get some Ensign this week, and ride the wave. Have Cielo already but that has stayed pretty much the same, caught it at the bottom so hopefully that moves up but that is a long term. Put money that I need in the spring in several stocks so far better return than banks.

If you are on coinbase or something it takes 2 seconds. Just like selling a stock.

Ive never sold any though, when i do it will probably be to a local buyer.

There is buisness's in the the city that buy and sell bitcoin

I was always curious how that process worked. I wish I did have some.
Ok, well there is lots of possibilities to dump crypto if you have any.

You could even buy stuff with it without converting it to dollars.

I have friends into crypto and sledding.

I could buy a used sled with crypto potentially. More and more people are into it these days.

Maybe a person doesnt want to pay taxes on their gain, so plenty of ways around that too.

Not that Id do that.... Bitcoin is a long term hold for me. One day who knows I might want some Canadian dollars, but im good on those for now.

It’s $18000 + 5 years of electricity. At 3.25kw x 24h/day about $0.58/hour = $ electricity or $5080/year or $25,404 for 5 years. So if btc price increases and difficulty increases you need to make $42,000 before you are in profit.

Which is entirely possible. An s19 could make you 100,000$+ or you could loose money too. Depends on a lot of things.

Bitcoin mining has been very profitable over the last decade. But as they say past performance is no indication of future performance.

hey guys- haven't been on here for awhile. iv'e been busy as f... Anyways still want to push this one out here for you guys as it will make you $ in the long. SOLO. They are an electric car company in the middle of building a plant in Arizona. The plant is scheduled to open spring/summer 2022. Right now the stock is on the low but will pop on a moments notice. Might peek some of your interest. Warrents are till Summer 23 which are dirt cheap. Do your own DD. Im heavy on this one. Its a no brainer. But you have to be patient. Good luck my friends. Many a turbo to each and all!

I wouldn't exactly call it massive, its a pilot plant designed to produce 60 liters per hour, even the full scale plant will only be 4,000 liters per hour. The technology of Cielo is impressive to say the least, but there are still a lot of hurdles to overcome to go from small scale batch production to large scale continuous production.

I'm not saying it's a bad investment, just do your DD on that one.
