Sputtering and bogging on long hits off boost TSS turbo

Had my dealer do a quick check, he's "confident" it's the fuel pump getting weak feeding 4 injectors. His tests also were showing 40PSI, but might get weaker as stuff heats up. So for $600, I'm not willing to bet on his "confidence ", so I took it out and ordered just the internal pump out of the states, only place I could find it. Be here next week, hopefully I can find time to test it before snow is gone. Oh yeah, under $130 to my door, I had the old pump and sending unit out and apart in under an hour.

Mine was doing the same thing, but it was broken wires to the kill switch. Intermittently shorting out, ended up just dying above a lake. ( after two days of running like poo in joss ) I thought it was helicopter time until i saw the broken wires. Getting stuck in the worst spots ever etc. Just wanted to sell it after it running like garbage. Before that, 3000km of running PERFECTLY.

It does almost seem like it is starving for fuel, but hard to tell as all my gauges are showing different. Going to phone TSS might have to go for a visit

Have you checked for a boost leak yet? Seriously it doesn't take much of a leak to cause exactly what you have going on. Last trip of the season my T-Etec had the same thing happen, started digging into things and I could see some soot or exhaust had escaped from under the heat shield on the pipe. I pulled the pipe and heat shield and sure enough the pipe had a three inch long crack. Also one time I had some pin hole burned through spots on the down pipe going into the turbo and I had the exact symptons. You are showing lean but actually you are pig rich because you are adding fuel without enough oxygen to burn it all. Whenever I have had a boost leak I will also notice that my overall boost numbers will be slightly lower than I am use to.

I had a good look around the pipe cant seem to see anything so maybe tonight I will pull all the shields off. I pulled fuel pump out yesterday and strainer is nice and clear. Where is a good place to order a replacement pump cheaper than the stealer.

pulled reeds out and 3 out of the 8 sets are damaged maybe this could be the issue

Just got the new fuel pump installed and went for a quick test ride with our new 4" of snow. Seems to be running good so far. Won't know for sure till I get it into the hills 2 weeks.

Found the issue, broken wire in the boost-it box harness

Way cheaper than a new fuel pump. I had my fuel pump replaced under warranty and it runs great until the longer pulls of 30 secs+ and then wants to die at always the wrong time it seems. I did notice the pump falls off in pressure after it warms up. In the trees it's flawless which is where we mostly can be found, however, spring is here and it's more wide open high alpine riding now so that wanting to die issue is always in the back of the mind. Guess I will take a look at wiring before the next rides

Boost it had a video showing how to make sure the injectors are firing properly on YouTube maybe that will help out. I believe you just ground out the wire in the harness to get it to fire the injector. That one might be a good one to check while your in there. If you have the tss kit with the boost it box.
