Went riding on May 1st in my local area. Found some great snow in the alpine (a probed 7 feet). However the access was a little rough. Truck and trailer got stuck in a deep spot in a shady area so we had to unload and ride from there.

Of course once we got out of the shady area the snow dried up and we were faced with the above video. This was the worst of it and then it got really good and fun. I am sure we have all faced this situation before.

Man...that's great. Glad it wasn't me cause these freakin Nytro's absolutely SUCK when it comes to burning up sliders. I would have completely melted a set of sliders to the drivers if I was to try that, and I'm completely serious!

Gotta give kudo's though, cause you were boogy'in up that dirt trail!

Spring riding is amazing & sets the bar to levels of adventure that can only be said as awesome!!! I usually start the spring week ride at an area that I know that the snow line will be on the trail. The gps elevation traveled up the logging rd is pretty much the same for all other areas that we ride so one knows when we need to rip & tear to keep gaining altitude before unloading. We too have burnt the skis off :whipped: snow should be around next corner:rolling::rolling::rolling::doh::alol2:

Probably got down just before dark???

I saw today that you may still require my guiding services....that meadow is called "secret" for a reason.......:dunno:

Also, it was a lot muddier today and many more rocks.....just might be done?

haha, nope we couldn't find it!! i/we followed a bit of flagging going in, then we just lost them. so figured we cut our losses and we turned around. went down to the bull river jumping every little knoll on the way, turned around again and met up with dwight just as he was finishing breaking traking trail into smith (perfect timing really:d).

we got back to the trucks around supper i think, and it was just a mess loading up. hard to believe how much melted during the day. never made it home last night till 10... looong day!

that 'may' have been it for the year, but i'm not putting it away just yet;)
