Does anyone on here have any experience running this supercharger? If so what is the good/bad about it ,and is it better over a turbo kit?

Just looking for for options for my new cat coming this fall!!

Rode a Older Prolimb with it on and loved it. Zero turbo lag and ran without missing a beat the whole time. zero lag at all always had boost when needed. Although have heard great things on the new boondocker systems with there new sled specific turbo. Nice thing about supercharger is can run it at high and low elevation where as all new turbos seem to be high elevation only.

the supercharger will have better throttle response, boost will be RPM related, supercharger is run off of crank and that takes away power, so turbo makes more power per lb of boost, so all depends on where you ride, in the trees the supercharger will be more fun and you will have better control of boost, in wide open places or climbing hills, you will never beat a turbo. supercharger depends on what size pulleys are available, not as easy to change the boost. so if you have a supercharger running 10 lbs of boost and one with turbo running 10 lbs of boost, the turbo will make more power and will have more top speed. both are good, all depends where you ride and the type of riding you do.

Thanks for the input!! I don’t pull big hills, mostly boon docking in trees and in meadows with rolling hills. I do on the odd occasion pull a bigger hill but not all day every day. I just have never rode with a supercharged sled or owned one. I do have a turbo Polaris 800 already, and just trying to decide if a supercharger is worth the try!! My turbo pro is very responsive in the trees so if the supercharger is as good as a turbo then that might be a good fit for me.

PM ippielb. He runs a charger. He’s done clutch tuning as well. And he’s usually happy to share info.
I burn less fuel now at 7lbs with my turbo than I did stock.

LOL

To the OP, ThrottleOps should also be a good resource. Rides with ippielb I believe.

My best friend has an alpha running a sc. Bottom end is phenomenal. Top end is good. Not as much power as a turbo but it still rips. It’s a fuel hog. He runs out of fuel when all the stockers are at 1/2 or 5/8.

One thing we all HATE about it is the centrifugal force from the sc. It’s crazy how bad it is. Makes the sled way more work to ride in the trees or anywhere you’re trying to quickly maneuver.
