Spare key

Do you need to bring the sled to the dealer to get a spare key programed, or can you just bring the key?

I forget. Its been a while.

Keys can be programmed with a map tune as well .That’s what the folks at Riderz told us anyways

ACR has buds as far as I know. But never a bad idea to keep a spare in the backpack. Have met a few guys that lost their key on the hill.

Is there a problem with just disconnecting the primary lead to the magneto?

I always have a spare key on the sled. lessons have been learned. Usually have buddies sleds programed as well.

What do you mean? To jump start it? Does that work on an Etec?

It's a chipped key-tether

The fuel injection ecm needs to see the key to run at all , then has to have good connection to go above clutch engagement

Be aware that only works for the newer keys that use RFID. The early XM's had the old rubber key.

Mine has the rfid... its a t3. those rubber keys suck

Yeah, the older XM's are easy to convert, i would assume all the etec's would be easy to convert to the new style anything older than that would be hard I'm thinking.
