Sounds Like the Track Ratcheting.

The retainer got picked up today at the dealer, now to get time to put it together.

It is all together now and the noise was still there until we tightened up the track. It looks like the drivers are worn weird, a bit rounded off so that may be causing the ratcheting noise. Have to find some new drivers I guess.

This sounds like the exact same thing I just went through. I tore EVERYTHING apart and couldnt find the problem. If you still have the problem, check the back of the secondary and make sure none of the bolts holding your helix are broke. I had two broken off and it did feel/sound alot like ratcheting. Wish I would have found this before tearing the entire drive train apart.

2 blots sheared of a buddies xp last ride same thing,,, replace them bitches,,,


we were looking at secondary thinking its warped,, like how would that happen lol,, sure enough 2 missing,,,,, he was saying inconsitent rpm's but nothing about ratcheting noise..

The drivers that are on the sled are black in color and look just like the ones that are for sasle in the above post. Today when I was at the skidoo shop I saw a set of drivers that were white in color and the drivers looked more squared off. The black ones are rounded off more on the driving side...hmmmm. Whut up with that?

stock drivers are always smoother, you cam usually feel aftermarket ones a bit. i have avids and i can feel them easily.
