There has been a lot of vehicle thefts in Red Deer in the last week too. I heard Pike Wheaton lost a new Vette and Gary Moe lost two new cars(?) and a ton of parts and accessories... Cocksuckin thieves...

You would think that if a customer brought in a vehicle missing the ignition,someone might have had enough brains
to put it in a locked rear compound(like many dealerships have) or bring it into the shop after hour's.
On a side note why do dealerships have a million $ worth of inventory and no live video camera's?

That's a piss off for sure. This problem will never go away as there just isn't enough deterrent to stop thieves. The cops don't seem to have the time to deal with it, thieves know that and if they are caught it's a slap on the wrist. Protecting your property as best you can with alarms, extra locks/security and tracking devices may help give you peace of mind, but at the end of the day the friggin thieves always seem to have the upper hand. Don't know what the answer is, vigilante justice seems like a nice thought until the cops show up at your front door.

theres a device for sale in states for 5 bucks that fools the vehicles comp electricaly and opens doors ect..read 17 had been sent to Winnipeg..sighn of he times..know lve made adjustments to deal with the nasty types..
