everyone talks about mcdavid like he is the only hope for the oilers.
they seemed to carry on just fine without him and ended up scoring 3 more goals after he left(1 empty net)
They have a solid team with or without him. If anyone remembers correct, hall was hurt within 15 games of hois first seasn, RNH was hurt within 7.
i think the oil will be just fine without him.

Guess thats why they call it a TEAM and not a 1 man show. **** happens its hockey so suck it up Oil fans and the rest of the SQUAD can step up. Doing all right so far considering all the **** they have told to them from so many different coachs now they got a coach they can stick/listen to that does a good job with what he came into at the begining. One thing they have to learn on this team in a big way is cohesivness that they lack but it will come eventually.

that's optimistic.... When I broke mine down in Cooke I was out of commission for 4 weeks and wasn't looking to play NHL hockey.

Confirmed broken collarbone.... My son broke his when he was just a little gaffer and he was in a sling for 1 week, and then hard at it again

I'm a Red Wings fan and watching McDavid go down still sucks. I feel bad for all the Oilers fans right now. I would guess he won't be back till after New Years. Patrick Kane was supposed to be out 8-12 weeks last year and if it wasn't playoff's I doubt he would have came back as early as he did. Opens up the Calder trophy a little more now. I'm not sure anyone else had a chance if he had played all season. Now at least it might be a little interesting. Hopefully Dylan Larkin and Max Domi can keep playing well and make it interesting.

I am a Canucks fan but have to say I feel bad for the Oilers and their fans. How much let down can one take. Hopefully the rest of the team can find enough depth to fill in the void. Good luck!
