Great sled for newbies and very small ladies. They'll flop over for you by just thinking about it. Not precise at all, but very easy. An XM is like a meat cleaver, cutting through the snow with power and no precision vs a Pro which may (or may not) have a little less power, but cuts through the snow like a surgeon's scalpel.

I'm guessing they're either newbies or very small ladies.

I like all the comments... pros and cons but!!!! can you tell if the T motion is helping or is it more for the trails and hard packed. I can see it helping with the trails and less snow days but i think that the T motion would be almost a wash in the deep days. I ride Doo and this is not a selling point for my next sled in 2014

Works in all situations. Remember it's helping you get a start in the maneuver. The biggest advantage of the tmotion is off camber situations trying to right the sled with the hill. This is the first sled to have a mechanism to assist in these situations and it does work. Deep snow carving around......maybe it's not the t motion but it certainly is better than previous years so I'm sure it has a bit to do with all the changes.

I finally rode a XM this last weekend and within 2 carves I was sold. I had my camera on and caught my pure reaction to how smooth this sled is. "holy ch!t!"

I have a 2011 146" summit X and a 163 XM made my sled feel like a house.

I will be snow checking one asap as will a lot of the group I ride with.

Makes sense..................its much easier to be more precise when your sled will only go at half the speed through deep powder of the competitors sled.:rolleyes:

1400 km on mine .. all smiles

takes a while to get used to it .. for those who complain that it flops one way and the other .. sure it does when you come off a tank ... ride all day, not tired one bit and it carves hard and precise with little effort

everyone who's been on one has snowchecked one around here... i warned my friends not to try the XM if they can't afford one.

I bought a 12 Pro this fall and love the way it rips through the trees. I've always ridden Polaris's so I am definately not a Doolaid drinker, had a few sips before but always seemed a little bitter. Haha. Thought about buying a XP ETEC for the power but never liked the out of control feeling I had in the trees on them. Jumped on a 154 and 163 XM this year and thought $HIT my first big sled investment and I bought the wrong one. The XM is a completely new machine in the technical stuff compared to an XP (even the S-36 front suspension XP's which were already a bit of a improvement). I'd buy a XM next and definately the T-motion has lots to do with it. Bring on the Doolaid, I'll have seconds.

I came off an 09 xp to a turbo nytro, then wanted to get back on a 2 smoker. Rode a few buddies pro's and 1 xm and thats all it took, sold the nytro on the way home and bought the first XMX I could find.

whos sled did you ride Kevin? I know your on the doolaid but you really need to try my cat. The way you ride, you would love how easy that cat is in the trees. Saying that, I really want to try an xm also!
