SNOW on the Mountains this morning! Aug 27

I almost thought I was seeing things this morning but there is definetley white on the tops of the mountains in AB west of Calgary this morning and I have checked the webcams in Golden and Revy and they got it last night too!!! Any other reports of first snow out there?

Nothing in the East Kootenay's.....it was +22 north of Cranbrook at 11pm and +18 in Fernie at 1 am this morning. A really warm unusual night!!!

All the hills around here had snow up top this mornin, it came down into the tree line. SWEEEEET!!!!

Wow, temps were not like that here. There was a fresh dusting on the summits around Invermere/ Pano the last 2 mornings.

I do know where you could actually sled right now...... and only an hr from my door! :d

What a difference a day makes......temp this morning at 4300' (1300m) was -1C. We did not get any snow nor a dusting.

With the full moon cycle over maybe we will get some nice fall weather. Like Modman says, "we didn't even seem to get summer this year?"

We all know this is leading into a stellar winter, right?

The clouds havnt lifted enough yet to get a pic. Just have had small holes in the clouds to get glimpses of the hills. As soon as i can get a decent pic i will post one.

Some of ruby falls area yesterday went hiking above the falls and it was snowing pretty good.
