snow flaps

just wondering what you guys are using FOR MOUNTAIN riding. i need 5 flaps that are about 32" long+ and i orderd a so called "mountain flap" from a company in the states. but its basically a peice of puckboard and will never work in the mountains. trails sure...

jarred at APP had one of his at the sled show and its almost like a thin leather or something? either way its really flexible which is what i need. i wasnt prepared to pay 70$ though but i would if i could get my logo on it not his. VANamburg has the same thing.

so im just wondering what you guys are using on your mod sleds with high rear ends or what that flexible material is so i can buy a bunch. i would buy the vanambug one but its 30" and one of them i need to be 34"

I cut a tractor trailer mud flap and works great.:d

i use thin belting from a bearing & belt supply store .you could try a farm supply store to as they handle many diferent types of belting.

I thought I read once that you had no flaps on any of your mtn. sleds maxwell, what has made you decide to run them?

I just cut a KW flap and fit it on mine, but it needs some support to keep it out of the track. it's limp enough that it will get sucked into the tunnel, I tethered it to the rear bumper as a temporary fix....planning on putting some kind of backing under the mount to keep it held away from the track.

I've been wondering that myself. I haven't been by to check this out but Innovative Plastics on the Yellowhead carries some stuff called Arena Sheet which comes in different thickness, one is .060 (1/16'), 4x8 sheet $49.36. And Tuff Sheet, .110 (1/8"), 4x8 sheet $46.10. I'm not sure what colors it comes in but if you're interested they have a number

I have the APP flap on my sled works great.
70 was kinda steep but i needed one quickly at the time
And yes it seems to be some kind of conveyor material

your right i dont. on any sleds that have the correct cooling. like a 163 with a 163 track.

but this rev is a 174 with the 151 cooler. need all the flap i can get.

Not a logo guy either, but ill be using the absolute flap, the logo is barely visible and Jarrid is a supporter of sledding in our area. Ill be proud to have it on the sled.

i wouldnt mind the absolute logo either but its still not long enough is my issue hahahaha.
