Two feet up top by thanksgiving, settling to a 10 inch base with some rain by the following week. Heavy snowfall on a regular basis ever since, we'll be heading up top to get more detail soon. Up Clemina yesterday, only a few more inches of pack at the cabin. Looks like we've been getting more snow in the Rockies. Will be headed up Renshaw to check things out next.

beautiful white morning in Valemount today ! Could not find a sole to tag a long for a ride with me, said im nuts. I think we're heading out on Tuesday for an inspection. Saw a least on rig with some sleds, hopefully we can get a report

Two friends of mine rode Allen Creek this past weekend. They got funny looks everywhere they went. They were the only 2 guys in town with sleds. They rode gravel from the parking lot for 7km. They needed to stop every 5 minutes to pack the exchangers full of snow to keep the sleds cool. The rain had melted most of the snow on the trail but there was enough in the trees to get by. Once they got to the cabin things were good. Not alot of snow staying on the big climbs so they played in the trees mostly. There was about 3 feet with a slight base. Things were looking up when they left on Sunday morning. Snowed a ton on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Things should be looking up.........

Just got back from Allan. Minimal snow on the trial until 6km, then roughly 6" of compact with the od landmine or two. Dont bring your new skis !Forcasted snow for the last few days and we havent seen a drop. Up top ranged from 8" to 3' depending on the windloading. Got some smooth carving in, although you still have to tread very lightly. Great to get out and ride, but the trail sure is boney. Ill post some pics later.

PS. If plan on riding this weekend, please take care on the trail, ease of the throttle and think of the rest of the folks. Imagine if every group shoveled in one bare patch, we'd have a trail

Hello All

We've recieved another 6" of the white stuff up in the alpine, so were still sitting anywhere from 1-3' of snow depending on the windloading and realitively no base yet. Looks as though we got another dump up in the hills last night as well. The trail is very thin with sharp rocks. The majority of the time your track is on snow, but the skiis are still hitting rocks constantly up until the 5km mark then it slowly begins to improve.

NOTE !

We've had to block the new access into Allan Creek again this year to protect the longevity of the trail. With so many early season users the steeper sections ice up and will not hold snow for the rest of the season resulting in a very poor spring trail. Please respect this temporary closure as its for the better of everyone and use the old trail.

There is also some construction going on in the Allan lot so be cautious of moving equipment and debris, best bet is to park in the rear gravel pit.

Where is the old trail at Allen Creek? Can you easily find it from the parking lot?

Just head up the regular trail and when you come to the rope you have to go straight and go up through the old switchbacks,you couldnt miss it even if you wanted too!Do not go around the rope,you be in da bad books!

Agree with 'Catmando'.... Near better chance of missing the new trail jog off if there are not any any tracks after a snow job !
