hahaha.....Christopher sent PM's to get everyone to check out that thread. guess AC must have got a few emails and phone calls

Yes it did. AC is now threatening with harassment due to the call/email volumes. /

Any lawyers out there? I thought in order to sue for harassment, the plaintiff needed to prove damages, and that includes threats and demands.

Like I said earlier, transparency with the consumer is key these days. Information spreads like wildfire on the internet, and you can't stop the right to free speech. "Freedom of speech is the political right to communicate one's opinions and ideas using one's body and property to anyone who is willing to receive them. The term freedom of expression is sometimes used synonymously, but includes any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used."

Yes, it was. I Know Michelle Personally, and talked to her about all this yesterday. she was pretty much in tears on the phone. This will turn out to be a bad deal for everyone, she is in serious trouble, and now a a lot of people are pissed and won't be shopping at precision either, at the end of the day they will both loose, all over a belt.

Just curious here fellas. So to get this straight somebody from precision called and bought a belt discretely just to get Michelle in trouble?

Milton, you are from right next door....how about stopping in and talking to Richard (I think) and get the other side of the story. I've heard that this is WAY beyond a solitary belt....

Who cares? I bought a track from Precision last fall 'cuz they were cheaper, and they shipped it to me right past a Cat dealer in Fernie, and Cranbrook. Don't see them going crying to AC to have Precisions dealership pulled. Hypocritical...plain and simple. We should be able to shop where we choose without ANYBODY restricting us from making that choice!

Fine, I don't disagree with you but your beakin off about this story and making accusations about the manufacturer and dealer with only hearing one side of the story is just plain wrong. If you want to be judge, jury and hangman.....get both sides of the story, then make an educated decision. Right now ... all you are doing is slandering some ones name based on hearsay.

But , seriously, do you think a manufacturer would pull a licence of a successful dealer over one infraction....give your head a shake. There is more to this story than we know. There is more to this story than 1 snowmobile belt. Why is Revenue Canada involved or is that just a rumour also? Sounds like this dealer has been breaking more "dealership agreement" rules than 1 belt. But I'm not making a judgement until both sides of the story come out...but from what I have found out so far, the Lethbridge dealer is a very minor piece of this puzzle.

And, before you rant on about free trade and I can shop where I want.... I don't agree with those rules either....we should be able to buy where ever we want....but when a dealership signs up with a manufacturer, he needs to play by the manufacturer's rules rules...like it or not.

Why won't the Chev or Ford dealers in the US sell you a new vehicle?? Because they want to keep their licence to sell that product! Bottom line is don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I also agree it had to be more than a one time thing....there was probably an action taken by A/C against OTS based on complaints from Precision, agreements were made, and the young new employee shipping the belt was the straw that broke the camel's back...so to speak.

One of the first posts by OTS in the snowest thread admitted that they had already received some kind of sanction / warning / letter telling them to stop selling to Canucks.

Better check your dictionary there buddy. Wait.....I'll do it for you.

slan·der
ˈslandər/
nounLAW

  • 1.
the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.
"he is suing the TV network for slander"
verb

  • 1.
make false and damaging statements about (someone).

  • Fact#1: I bought a track from Precision.
Fact #2: They shipped it to me through 2 other Cat dealers areas.
Fact #3: Their dealership is not being pulled because of it.

No false statements there. In fact....what you said about me is closer to slander.

Pretty hard to buy local when I can get parts from OTS for some times hundreds less then my dealer down the road. Michelle hands down gives the best service. Parts are shipped when she says there going to be shipped and if there is a problem she lets you know. My local dealer never has anything in stock. Lots of American dealers will sell parts up here even though they shouldn't. You don't see them getting there dealership pulled. Personally I think if Arctic Cat would stop screwing us Canucks on parts prices we wouldnt have to buy them else were. I would rather Suport my local dealer but after you have been bent over enough times it gets tough todo. End of the day Michelle is a stand up person that gives the best service hands down. I have a tough time not believing her story. If the AB dealer in question had top notch service and reasonable prices they would have nothing to worry about.

So what you are trying to say drifter is Michelle has been shipping parts to you for awhile? Being you are from bc you better straighten out your post cause it sure sounds to me like she is shipping you parts into canada too. With great service to boot. So like we all are suspecting this isn't a isolated issue, she's been caught breaking the rules of Artic cat agreement. I guess she can thank her loyal customers for coming on S&m and talking about how great her service and fast shipping is to Canadian customers. Looks like now drifter you might have to start to support your local economy.
