sledding on fresh snow july 23

One inch of fresh snow on sat. amazing ride , great fun to be had, then went back yesterday to see how much melted in the hot sun we just had... lots melted but still great fun. a group of us are heading up Aug 1... pics to come

I saw a couple of sleds heading west through Cranbrook this weekend. I was drooling and my wife just laughed at me.

We were in Nelson all last week, saw sleds heading West through Crowsnest, saw some sleds in Crankbrook, saw more sleds in Nelson/Castlegar as well.

Took the dirtbikes with us but riding up high you could easily see areas you could still get sleds into.

Popped into MainJet for a few parts as well....nice new cutie they have working there, Shelby maybe? I didn't get to chat much, I am sure Momma was watching from the back.. Anyhow, very helpful.

heres the fresh snow ,, stayed on the rocks above 8000 ft, i was sleding at 7500 and it was only on the old snow

I was so surprised how much melts in late july heat..

It was all melted one week later in this area

and this chute was way tighter one week later....

July 11 up baldface, but I was dissapointed with the small riding area left.
