Sledding Budget for '08-'09?? How much?

Never say they are over Chowder they are just on hold till the family gets settled trust me !!been there done that , and after being in the house for some time she will say go

never budgeted before but this thread got me thinkin
average 500 for weekend trips
2 per month dec - april 5 months
1 full week trip 1500
new gear = christmas
upgrade sled every 2- 3 years 1500 per year
I am at about $8000 before any major repairs or truck and trailer costs

I would pay twice that to have as much fun as I do
maybe I should look at going 3 per month:d

3 grand going every single weekend all winter , thats not including the morgage on the cottage. If we had to get hotels it would be a lot more.

Budget ? Never really thought about it ...... how about $250 a day in the mountains,only if you don't break anything... but what fun is that?

i have 4 kids and if i cant do what i love to do or find time to do then that is a waste of a lifetime.
mountains will always be there tomorrow but will we?
ya i spend too much $$ on sledding but im living and yes my kids are looked after too.:d

Haha yah last yr between me and my bro 3 trips to revy we had our share of problems I think there was only one day we DIDNT need to rent a sled. yah. I know. it sucked.

Issues are worked out hopefully now though so hoping to spend less money and ride waay more!!

Oh when I get the bill for my crank this month think I can convince my wife that it should count for last years repairs?:d

between myself and nytoman as well as the rest of our group we try to make it up between 8 to 10 times a year and we go all over the place but with four or five sleds loaded on our unit you can keep the cost down when you share the rooms and fuel for the truck costs can stay pretty reasonable as long as your sled dont run up a big bill at the shop. we usually ride with about 10 diferent guys through out the season and didnt realy have much for break downs exept for one motor but sled was easy to tow out

Once rent and truck payment is made... the budget is the rest of the paycheck!!!! Spend now worry about it in the summer!!
