i hate to say this but if your worried about a season budget then perhaps your in the wrong sport. set your budget per trip for hotel, food, beer, hookers adn blow or what ever else your into. cost on repairs is just part of the fun.

Well... I'm not in the "wrong sport". I've been in this sport for 30 years. A budget to me is very important. When you have three boys all riding to some degree, and all the expenses that come with that (and other sports) you have to have some sort of buget. Just the way it is when you have to be responsible. :)

My budget is gone, all ready spent it all and more just building the sled. And its not even finished yet. Otherwise It seems to cost about $615 for 3 days of sledding included in that are Truck fuel, Hotel, Food, Sled Fuel, Trail Pass.
It goes up alot if I travel to Sicamous or Golden.

Would like to answer your question Scotty but there are so many factors to look at. Number of trips, accessories, fuel, location etc. But Im hoping 4500.00 will get me covered for the year. Less would be better BUT it will be what it will be. Hope this helps a little

Friday to Sunday day trips to Valemount or McBride are usually $250 to $280 per person (4 people normally) in our group. We bring booze, stay away from the bars, and bring lunches from home. Of course longer trips or trips to places like revy are more.

I don't budget, worry about it later. That is what summers are for. If I did have a budget and the wife saw it... Look out!

I budget all summer to make sure my "sledding" visa is at a zero balance before my first trip in November. After that all hell breaks loose untill the end of April then I start the process over. I doo watch my spending over the season but there are to many unknowns to let it bother me. I can tell you that my trips to the mountains are considerably cheaper than most of you fellas. Room and board are my only two major expences as long as I don't break down. I will shoot for 8 trips this year. See you on the hill :d
