running sleds can give off ghost signals. If you are searching by sled You will need to drive 30M stop turn your sled off and then check, repeat.

Yep, and I see a issue with guys running around in search mode. In the conditions I've been reading about I dunno that would be wise.

I urge anyone who is out there riding, or searching to not put themselves in harms way to locate this person. We don't need to hear of tragedies because we are out there trying to do right by ourselves and find a fellow snowmobiler.Be Safe, make smart decisions, and keep in contact with your loved ones or with others down the hill.

I know my Mammut Pulse has and Earphone port on it. Not sure about others.
The mammut pulse is a guide transiever It's capabilities are over most people's skill. Ear phone are used for when you switch transiever to analog. You can also set time how long until it switches back to send from search I've seen this lots people trying to search with unit and automatically switches back to send then others are picking you up. And you don't realize and whole search is thrown off... Know your transiever! Know how to use it! Practice!

Our hearts go out to his family at this time of need.

So appreaciative to all who volunteered to help find him before he was buried in the snow.

I guess it's kind of expected after this long but certainly not the outcome anyone was hoping for. Condolences to the family and friends.
