Sled trailer sizing

Looking for feedback on a new to me sled trailer. I have had the 30’ v nose as well as a 20’+4 deck over sled trailer. They were bigger than I needed as I mostly use a deck but great for storage. I am now considering a 7x16+5’ v nose not a deck over. Think it maybe easier for towing just not 100% sure about what I could fit in it. Would like to haul 3 sleds in it. Anyone have experience with this size. Thanks

Same size trailer and I haul 3 in mine. You have to get a little creative with how you load them and it will be tight but usually I do 1 straight in to the nose, then back the other 2 in and slightly stagger them.

Modman draw it out on the shop floor with chauk or tape and park the sleds in there to see if they fit.

I bought a Mirage 20.5x8.5 and its roomy with 3 mountain sleds but can fit 4 if needed. 19' straight wall and a short v with no front door... I regret the no front door now, I thought all sleds have reverse and forgot about all of the mods and our trail/vintage junk lol

Mirage 20’ 3 place

Does anyone have experience with new Mirage enclosed trailers? I’m looking at a 2020 3 place. It has the vinyl floor but not many more options.

I’ve been running a Legend 22’x7’ with a 5’ v nose since 2012. I can fit 3 Mtn sleds all facing the rear. I can fit 4 Mtn sleds in there, 1 forward, 1 reverse, same with the other 2 sleds, 1 forward, 1 reverse. It’s tight but works.

I never quite understood the 7' wide trailer thing. To save a few $$ on fuel? Must be, because having another 12"-18" of space for the same length is unbelievably nice. Room for gear and cabinets and can haul sxs if necessary.

We’ve used a 7x22 plus V on a few mountain trips, it’s a great pulling trailer being inline, easy to see around with the narrower width and still had plenty of room for 4 sleds and gear, never felt cramped to me. If I was on the market for a 4 place I’d be buying exactly that. Even managed to throw a 2008 civic race car in there. Don’t ask me how we got out of it once loaded lol

Not worried about fuel economy as the truck drinks it when I hook any trailer to it. Just wondering if there is much difference on towing feel. Especially in the road slush conditions on the hiway. Looking at a 18x7+5 v nose that price seems good. Hoping I can get 3 machines in it. Thanks

I haven't noticed too much that the trailer will jump from one track to the other compared to the towing vehicle. The reason why I said I haven't noticed it in slushy road conditions is that I may or may not have purposely put the trailer tires on the passing lines (4 lane highway) when its slushy and or snow covered and or pool of water when there's an a-hole behind me or if they keep playing leap frog.

It will on a road that has 18" -24" of snow on it.
