I prefer handling my ramp by myself. I have a system worked out that makes it easy as pie, i decline help when it is offered.

I just pivot it on the tailgate. But sometimes when you barely make it back after a half hour of digging out of a tree well and have jello arms...

Been using decks for a long time. The first few loads were sketchy. I've seen peeps go over the top, fall off. My deck has a larger gap between the extension and the deck, with the ski-doo ski's they can be troublsome and get caught in that gap on unload. We used to stop at the tipping point, and slightly rock the sled to make sure skis are free. The polaris seem to just slide off no issue, Haven't had a cat on there. We wear our helmets loading/unloading, tether is hooked as well. We wear the helmets and tether as when we were kids, a friend of the old man's was loading, and the throttle stuck. Sled launched up the ramp, and buddy hit the rafters in his shop, came crashing down, broken arm/leg/hip, concussion. We always keep the superclamp on when first starting the sled as well in case something goes full send on start up. Had a buddy tip his brand new Axys off the side of a deck as well. Be careful up there, sometimes easier to back down then try to wiggle up the ramp.

Fair, however if I am parked beside a guy who does not have his clamp locked, it certainly makes him the easier target. The lock is a deterrent at that point.

As mentioned earlier, if a thief wants something that badly, they’re going to take it anyways. And will prob be carrying bolt cutters.

they don't use bolt cutters anymore, the pricks have battery powered hand grinders with a cut off disc. there's nothing they can't cut thru in a matter of seconds.

They still try to use bolt cutters. They jacked a light bar off my truck in drayton valley last year and tried to cut the mounting brackets with them but couldn’t get it. Just dicked up the bracket. They ended up cutting the wires a 1/4” from the light and unbolting it so in the end it was probably useless to them anyways.
