Had a buddy looking at those covers.
Are you saying he didn't put the pin in and it kicked out? Or did the pin come out as he was going up?
Did that smash his helmet into his head or no helmet?

I will do a little update on the Limitless Tonneau cover. The idea of it is great but the engineering of the ramp system must of been done by a 3 year old absolute junk. You pull ramp out and you need to put a pin in if you don’t you get a ride in an ambulance to hospital as my boy found out the hard way knocked out. With the pin in the ramp it still wants to walk off the top and come off. Taking it to a welding shop and going to get it built right so I am not very happy right now.

Holy crap dude!!!

Yes no pin and he had no helmet on but every time he loads now he has a helmet

Frig that’s gnarly man! Hoping his head heals up quick!

I had a similar thing happen with my sled deck loading from an icy parking lot. No pins in the ramp and it collapsed, smashed my windshield and my hood. I was thankfully wearing a helmet so just my visor snapped. But ya scary stuff

I now always load with two pins in the ramp. I’d give limitless a call and explain the situation Chase is a good dude and his guys are pretty good as well. I’m sure he’d do any required welding no problem.

He’s fixed my ramp with no charge before, Ive bent a couple rungs

That being said I travel to the okanagon quite often and just drop in to his place when i need something, I can’t see your location but if your not local it makes things difficult

Cross trax is the same way, needs to be pinned and doesn't latch to the pipe.
Adding latches is super easy. They are literally 2 little arms with a 1/4" bolt on my Marathon ramp. Might be something to consider, at least it would secure it to the pipe.

2500 quadcab (not megacab) shortbox with 7' aluminum deck, stock bumpers, no slip tank etc. Doo and Poo 800's both full of fuel.

Yep that’s why I bought a 1 ton Cummins, the 3/4 ram diesel will always be over. I’ve told that to a few people and they said I was out to lunch

Even a 2500HD GMC 6.2l gas 4x4 with a long box with my aluminum flat deck was over. That was with 2 people, 2 sleds (full of gas and oil), and gear was over. I went to a 1 ton just to be sure.

Interesting.
My 2012 Long box 4dr 3500 with deck, only 1 sled, myself and some crap under the deck like tire chains, gas can etc. is also 9600#. GVW is 10,200. With 2 sleds/guys I'm over. I've done weekenders with 3 sleds/guys and the truck packed. Wish I had a chance to weigh it.

It's good to know you're overweight so you can be extra cautious. Coming home that night I had a cop pull out and follow me by Field, after a couple miles making me nervous he flashed the red/blue lights but then shut them off and drove past. I was speeding a little bit but also my deck doesn't have the 3 marker lights working nor did I have red lights on tail of the sleds (154/155). So even with the lights and not speeding he could have reason to pull me over for weight.
