Sled deck on 1/2 ton?

a single strap? definitely overkill. Just lift the track up and shut the tailgate.

The frenchies are using vans and uhaul box trucks lately.

tbh I am not even using a trifold I just yank it out and then bum a ramp to load back up. ya got any extra beers I'm out bud?

Tail gate step? Might have to pin it faster to clear the gap.

Or it might be like on my truck, carbides catch on the plastic tailgate cap.

Now i run a piece of plywood in the box and cut it to extend an inch pastvthe end of the tail gate. Now i can pin it out without snagging the tailgate cap thingy.

Just don't extend the plywood to far past the tailgate , it will come over and smack you on the head like a big fly swatter. I seen it and then felt it only once.

Imagine loading on that - that's some scary ch!t. You're leveraging a ton of weight. Wouldnt surprise me if it rips the binders right out of the front of the box. Betcha it makes the steering feel really light though! LOL

The best 1/2 is a old 1971 dodge d100 with the 360 cubic inch block,,, the box sides can be caved in and the dam thing can still clock 97 mpr with 4 sleds stacked 1 on top of each other and no deck...

4 sleds ramed into the 8 foot box with tail gate down and no straps...

Its one of those throttle too the floor board units,,, Ha,,, and pull a 7 ton bumper trailer at the same time...

A bit heavy but who cares,,, gas up and pin it,,, those old lumber wagons loved too be driven hard...
