Sled deck on 1/2 ton?

kinda reminds me of those guys who buy the travel trailers with the deck on the front, ok for putting a quad on, but as soon as you put a SXS on the deck your 10 plus feet wide. See lots of them going down the road, I doubt the realize they are almost 2 feet over width.

Just seen a guy with a 900 ranger on a deck, it was side ways on the deck! Looked way to wide!

That would be something else to steer on ice with no weight on front end.
Tire rating likely waaay over. Another stat in the yearly highway death toll coming up.

Probably overloaded but no more rake than a lifted ram 2500 shortbox with two sleds on the deck and no airbags. Could find at least one in any staging area in western canada.

If payload is a concern a 2500 Ram Diesel is not the truck for it. Tows nice, and rides nice.

an f150 isn't the truck for it either. I just enjoy pointing out S&M's bias of overloaded/raked halfers vs overloaded/raked HD trucks.

I run a 2500 HD with no air bags. When I have 2 sleds full of fuel and 100 litres of fuel under the deck, truck fully fueled up, 2 people and all our gear my truck still sits 1/2" higher in the back. If you load your truck right a 2500 is fine IMO. I have a 6.5' box though, I could see how a 5.5 would squat more. Considered air bags for this year but decided against it.

Legally overweight for sure, but completely safe. I ran a ford f250 diesel and yes I was legally overweight, but technically the same truck as a f350.
