Probably the most capable 1/2 ton pickup on the market.

I believe it's at or around 2000lb payload as equipped in the photo. It will give the 2500 diesels a run for their money.

Oh wait. That's a 2 dr 2wd spec

1700lb depending on trim. Could be as low as 1400ish lbs. for crew 4x4

Edit

I knew I saw 2000lb somewhere. A Titan XD S crew cab diesel 4x4 has a payload of 2004lbs. Whatever the S is. Then it goes down about 200lbs for each increase in trim level.

I've seen over 2300 lb on 2016 f150. My 2012 is 2212 lbs. Both supercrews

It's been proven several times over in this thread that there are F150's more than capable of having a deck and two sleds and be under max payload.

It all depends on how they are equipped.

Just seems some guys don't want to believe what's there for factual numbers. I myself have no desire to drive a F150 full time so I own something else.

This little Nissan can have upwards of 2000lbs payload with a 5.0 diesel. Is 2000lbs enough to be legal when considering two sleds? Well there is only one way to know. But regardless some people will not be concerned with what is legal and that's their choice.

Lmao! And according to fords specs the f150 can handle a larger payload than my 1 ton cummins when properly equipped.

Put 3400 lbs in the bed of both trucks and lets see what truck is more capable.

That's just your opinion though.

All that matters is what the manufacturers indicated weight limits are and that is what the enforcing organization is going to enforce. Do they care it's a "half ton" or not even? Nope. They can only enforce it as it is written.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it doesn't mean much. Regardless of common sense and experience someone on here has the manufacturers have determined what that number is and that's however much it will be.

Luckily we are all individuals and we can make our own choices. Would you rather have the government dictate what you drive?

Rear axle rating will be the limiting factor Imo.

Not my opinion it's fact really, I'll have more distributed weight being overloaded, than the 150 being within it's limits. That's why I said the titan is a more capable truck. It will have more weight over the front axle.

I know of a instance where a guy sold his 2500 diesel and bought a new 150. He had a different opinion on the 150 after putting a deck and two sled on it driving in the snow to revy.

Depends on what you consider capable. I have a 2011 F150 heavy duty and I think it's more than capable. It has a 2700lb payload and with two sleds on it it handled an emergency maneuver with ease last winter. Right at late dusk when both headlights and daylight suck, I was heading northbound to Revy, just past Radium. All of a sudden an adult Elk came running down the cutbank towards my lane...I went into full emergency braking on a damp surface...I was expecting the Elk to carry on across the road and I was going to move to the right behind it. Well it stopped full on in my lane and my only option was to get off the brakes and go into the oncoming lane as there was no oncoming traffic. This was a major emergency lane change and I'm guessing my mirror missed the Elk's nose by inches. The truck handled the maneuver so well I was actually shocked and totally impressed.

All you haters can hate...but I'm a believer.

Cheers.

Got both a F-350 and a F-150.
Let's say I never feel the urge to pull the trailer or use the deck in the F-150. But my wife carries a **** of alot of costco home in that f-150. Lol

But it doesn't make the truck any less legal if it isn't over weight on any of its posted weight limits.

The court of public opinion says sure it's not the best truck for the job. I don't disagree but the result of "can I put a sled deck on a f150 and two sleds" is Yes you can and it can even be legal.

But the only way to know is weigh it properly and that has been said numerous times in these threads.
