haha if I had the $$ I would have one of each because I know they all have something a little different to offer. Or at least one of the top three and a turbo yammy.

Rode the new 12 e-tec, 11 pro rmk this year and also a new 12 proclimb and I would take the proclimb any day over the e-tec, but when comparing the proclimb to the pro rmk I am undecided, really like both of them. Pro definitely feels lighter but the proclimb definitely has a power advantage, all great sleds though, nobody makes an inferior product these days

Remember when you compare the three the doo is a 16" wide track and the poo and the cat are 15" wide. If you like to stay on top of the snow in the deep pow that extra width certainly can't hurt. I ride a cat so am not biased in favor of doo just pointing out that is a point to consider if you like to ride the deep pow.

the best comparing is on the mountain. i find myself riding all the new sleds everyyear because someone in our group picks one up. its good to get out with other groups and ride eachothers junk for an hour or so.

magazines are not the end all be all of reveiws. they are almost laughable actually. use them for specifications only.

your going to take a guy that rides in quebec 50 days a year then comes to revelstoke and hops on a new mountain machine for 6 hours opinion over an experienced mountain rider? nope not me!

its amazing what you can learn by sitting at the bottom of a bowl for a few minutes and watching the new sleds mess around. i can tell you which one is the best but i might get beat up!

the other problem with personal reveiws is just that. they are personal reveiws. i can ride the pi$$ out of a new doo but put me on a cat and i look like i just got on a sled for the first time. this is the case for most so pretty much every reveiw is biased except your own.

heres my limited experience with the new models.

-cat - lots of issues first year....still needs new track
-polaris - solid sled works good, needs a new track and maybe a bolt on performance kit to make it rock.
- skidoo - new track is working GREAT. havent had any issues with our new ones yet.

That's another thing in itself; a person has to decide what they want their sled to have and edge at, and what area they are willing to give up a little. I think each sled has it's own area that it shines at a little more than the other brands. I haven't sat at the bottom of a hill and highmarked for years, so which sled can get 50' farther up a hill is a pointless fact to me. Other guys love to find that same hill and sit there for hours; to each their own. As long as it does what the rider heads out for the weekend to do; and sends you home excited to head back ASAP; you are riding the right sled for you.

Another thing to really consider is who stands behind their product better!Polaris lost alot of guys over the treatment of the guys who bought 800 dragons,assaults,etc!Some guys are still fighting for warranty engines!Warranty and what it covers is also important when your dishing out upwards of $13 000!!Also find a good dealer.Some places will sell you a new sled and treat you like crap after they get your money and others are worth going for a couple hour drive to deal with!Alot of things to consider when buying a new sled!!

You can always be like the americans, and buy what your country makes. Fuel economy is going to be the biggest player and it is going to happen..... very soon.

Well I can't say I would blindly make a huge purchase like that for the simple fact it's Canadian made. I will be going to purchase the product that best suites me. I understand the concept of buying Canadian, and try to do so wherever possible in my life, but to purchase a $10,000+ sled just for the sole reason it's Canadian seems a little...unrealistic to me.

Everyone has brought up some valid points for sure and I appreciate it. All things to consider prior to making a huge purchase.

maxwell, that was on snow checks. 3 yr warranty OR 2 yr warranty and $1000 in accessories (I think).
I believe you could get up to 4 yrs of warranty in the States.
