The people fighting the fire gave it a tremendous effort on Saturday. At one point I saw 3 bombers lined up to make a drop. SRD pulled all available resources from other fires that did not pose a threat to combat this one.

This was about 6 pm Saturday looking from the junction of hwy 2 & 88. Sure smoke was in town that evening, but by morning it was just s light haze and no big plumes. Figured they had it under control which they would have if not for the winds again.

This was same time Sunday same spot.

Sent from my iPhone because dial-up sucks!

I heard about this early this morning. This is unbelievable. Sounds like everyone is is joining forces and working hard to save what's left. The sun says there has already been reports of looters as well. Sorry to anyone that has lost there home or business. Being a 24 year veteran in the fire and flood restoration industry the only thing close to this was the tornado of 87 in Edmonton. I hope there hasn't been any loss of lives. Loosing everything is tough enough on people, for what I've done for years I've seen it alot and it would be tough to see it on this scale.
Sorry to the members on here that are personally affected by this. If you need anything let us know here.
Any one heard from Steve from Slave lake yamaha?

Nope but that business burnt to the ground. Quads exploding etc. people were standing by the 7/11 watching I guess. Too bad feel kind of helpless when you can't do anything.
