Thoughts go to those in the Slave area. Hoping they can limit more losses.

I'm gonna get a trailer load of donations together to take up there. So post here or pm me with ideas of a central location to drop stuff off.I will probably contact Red Cross when I got a load as to the best place to take it.

Spoke with SLY this morning. His family is OK. They had very little time to get out. left everything behind. Is now staying with friends in Westlock. Sounds like the shop is gone and all inside. Steve is not sure if his house is still standing. He was at a loss for words. He sounds totally lost. "WOW" Can't imagine what they must be going through..
Trevor's family is OK but sounds like his house is gone. "UNBELIEVABLE"

If you guys need anything or help be sure to call.

Thinking of you!!

Im sending all my stuff to CS auto in plamondon to get picked up by my father.

I also wanted to go to costco to get loads of toothbrushes, tooth paste, diapers to send up, but im sure its been done and it makes more sense for someone local to go, my shipping fees are already outrageous

I just spoke with Heather at the Red Cross in Edmonton. Because there are so many families that came to Edmonton. They need donations for them.
She is going to call me back and we can help with getting the donations to Slave Lake.
ie. "Pick-Ups and Enclosed Trailers"

From a Red Cross article.

We are going to need clean bedding, of course," says McCallum. "We are going to need towels, and unopened toiletries."

You can take donations to their downtown warehouse at 10255 104th Street. They'll start accepting donations any time after 10:00am.

You can also call to volunteer: 780-428-4422 (ccg)

You guys are awesome. That's what makes this site so great. Everyone willing to pitch in and help. If it weren't for seeding I would gladly haul supplies up there.

Sent from my kickass HTC Desire because Apple sucks!

We have some cases of toothbrushes & toothpaste and stuff at home, we will try to get some more today and get it dropped off to either go to one of the shelters here in Edmonton, or to Athabasca, Westlock etc.

Put an Email out to everyone at work. Should have a truck load of clothing in the morning. Will try to do a Costco run tonight after work.
