I got the SKU's and descriptions from a site sponsor on dootalk, Maize Customs, I've asked him a few times for help confirming but nothing yet. I use a similar site however when I type in a SKU and I get the same issue. These parts aren't on the break downs either because they are "options"

Hey Rowdy,

Couldn't remember the year of your sled to get you the link, but some part numbers have changed. Drop your sled year ond model in here, then click on frame. I think that shoukd get you the updated part numbers.

Cheers.

Hey Rowdy,

Just be careful as to what bracing you put in your ride.

Some make the chassis too strong, and it crumples spots in the sled that may turn a relatively simple 'nun' fix into a full blown chassis crumple.

The aftermarket industry kinda 'jumped on board a little too hard' and put out some extreme so called solutions.

The parts 422 and 107 sound like a good buy.

Best thing, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

Thanks guys! I am lucky enough to know an awesome chick at Bow south who hooked me up with numbers, descriptions AND pictures! So now I can check it out and see if anything is already in my sled.

What do you guys think about these parts for bracing? Cuso brings up what was my concern, making stuff strong which could end up crumbling my tunnel. :S Anyone have any thoughts to the bracing I was recommended to get?

As long as you don't hit anything it won't be an issue.:p

I'm kind of leaning towards saying screw the bracing...but I dunno.

I wanted to ask why you thought the extra bracing was required in the first place?...

You weight a lot less than this fatguy and I never required these braces on either of the Revs I owned. If you have some huge cliffs you plan on dropping off of or plan on getting into stunt jumping then maybe they would be a good Idea.

I would suggest talking to Robert the Red, I know he has gone down this extra bracing road before.:d

Unfortunately front end bracing has nothing to do with weight of the rider. This is for front end collisions with hidden stumps, rocks, etc. the bracing that BRP sells will help for light hits that can move an a-arm back an inch but for a harder hit that would maybe throw the rider it will transfer that energy back to the e-module or worse the frame. Then we are talking big denaros. :)

If your a big momma that likes to do big drops i'd say the only extra bracing i'd throw in is the tunnel supports:d Otherwise ride it!!!!

Unfortunately you haven't seen the effects the weight of a larger rider can do on a snowmobile. If I may, I think Rowdy is looking into these braces/brackets to strengthen the Chassis for "hitting it Big".

Thanks for the correction about front end collisions!!! that must be why BRP has them all over their short track Racing Sleds, it's for front end collisions.... Or maybe it's to weight them down so they are the same weight as the competition

Thanks for the good eye poking Buddy!;)

The one brace I put on all the Revs I owned was the RH Tunnel Stiffener or Mag Brace 518 324 096 if it didn't already have that brace/stiffner when I purchased the sled.
