Any body install the new clutch vent upgrade for there 18 or 17? Not sure if i want to get it or not till i see how it seems to be working. I got a 17 and no fins on my clutch not sure if it would move enough heat out or if im just throwing another 100 to brp since they deemed my 17 is old news now and i have to buy all the updates

I put a kit on my 18 the other day but haven't been out yet to see how it works, still have to do the 17 yet also! It make it a lot easier getting the cover off if nothing else I guess.

I put it in my 18, seems like it will work well. I never had belt issues anyway but figured it doesn't hurt to put it in and heat will rise through it even when it is stationary.

You are now on the team with words 13-18 as quoted above!! Prepare for war against them CAT guys bud, they’re relentless with their belt jokes! You should see the new seat that CAT stole, has a unicorn horn on it and the 1/3 skid really makes that sucker wiggle!

The only thing that wiggles is you guys positioning yourselves on the Norona Special Edition Seat

No war....it's all in fun.
Hop it snows more soon.

And as a topic note my cousin put it on my old 17.
Will soon see first hand how it works, hopefully good for the masses.......I mean the few that were affected.
Cheap at $100

It was always plugged with snow on my 19, but my clutches were no hotter than my xm.

My own opinion, but if you still can't gain air in, doesn't matter how much it can shoot out. To fully take advantage of this, I believe you need more intake area to bring cool air in.

I think mb the guys 20 years ago who always used to bomb around with no hood so they could tune there sleds after every pull might have been on to something maybe thats what my 850 needs, why stop at removing the foam

You know you can B / Underline so we don't all have to count right... Kinda like Ski-Doo 850 owners, they get mad if you make them count higher than 12 .............................................
............................................................................................................................................. blown belts.

Band-aid those things together all you want, Even when they are running in 1 piece, Alpha will outpull a 8fitty.

Smells like hot burnt Ski-Doo belts in this thread. B.O.'s outta here...

I put the new air intake vent system on my 2017, haven't ridden the sled since the install. Just to clarify the system allows filtered cold air to enter the clutch system at the center of the secondary clutch and the hot air exits the left foot well as before. The benefit that I expect is that under "hood and clutch temperatures" should be reduced even when the front vents are plugged solid with powder snow. The kit includes a new mounting system for the belt guard that makes removal much easier. JMO

On my '18 I upgraded the motor mounts, did the clutch venting upgrade, blowhole, DJ clutching and geared it down... Never blew a belt yet, but i like to tinker would rather be safe than sorry
