21/53 is the gearing to have. Thats what i tested with.
Stock track speeds on a 165 3" with a 240lb rider in good snow was 63-64 kph. The clutch kit would hold 68-69kph.
I never had an actual temp gun. But you were able to put your hands on the clutches after many hard pulls were the stock set up you couldn't.
To me, the bottom end is way better. Much stronger out of the hole and held rpm better. I also found that the on off throttle response was better.
Curious...what is the BDX ring for? Is that a seat for secondary spring or primary spring shim?I have a few kits out testing with various riders to confirm what I was able to find on the 850 that I owned. Im currently just waiting on a backorder of weights.
