After running skidsteers. I wouldn't buy anything without tracks. Lifted 10,000lb blocks with a 299 Cat. Couldn't tell you anything about these brands though. Don't like the lack of counter weights on the gehl or mustang. Despise the short long engine bay size. Never seen a gehl but the mustang isn't good from what I've seen of them.

i like the track idea ....other than speed between sites and upkeep costs & pushing snow is better with a wheel version.........
Two different applications..imo.

I own a bobcat wheeled s185 and from what I have seen I wouldn't buy tracks. I do most of the work with it pushing snow in the oilfield with a 8 ft blade and it does a awesome job. My next unit I would buy a new m650 for more lifting power but I would stay with wheels for sure. Go with the joystick pilot controls if you can as wheel as 2spd air seat and ride control no matter what unit you buy.

Yeah i can allways put OTT tracks on if need be, but lots a time it is just light dirt/gravel,snow work........
Need a lot of lift, reach and size............hence the 100 HP gehl. Lifts 4000 lbs and dumps at 12 feet. With tracks it`s like a cat.
Don`t like the idea of replacing/maintaining under carriage/tracks all the time..........BIG $$$

The frame structure is bullet proof and the newer ones use a cummins so no issues their.

Have a New Holland 185 now great machine (for sale), just need a bit more size & lift ability....

Unless your in soft ground stay away from tracks, I can't speak for the brands you have mentioned as I have only owned bobcat both s300 and a t300. Tracks are fine and dandy until its time to replace under carriage. Asking about brand it is hard to beat bobcat imo

Funny how owners and operators have different opinions....
Guess it depends on who's paying the bills ...lol.

I work for CAT here in town and trust me you want to stay away from tracked units their very high maintenance and pretty costly repairs, I haven't really had any seat time in any of the machines you've mentioned but both cummins and Perkapillar are pretty reliable engines!
