im interested in seeing what its going to be like when it get one the snow. If they can make it so its not a pos like their original pro kits were then ALL the other manufacturers are gunna be in trouble. But for some reason i wanna say i can foresee issues. Well see, I really hope this thing comes out and u put it in and enjoy boost like its stock forever.

Stock pump yes, and the mpi kit also uses stock pump and does not alter any fuel lines, or fittings in tank..

If i recall right i believe mpi uses redlines fuel controller box. Which needs to alter the the fuel line and pump to supply enough fuel for the extra injectors and lower elevations. I would be very leary of buying there kit if they dont. I feel like it wont see enough fuel. But if your interested in a ski doo 850 mine is for sale now? Pretty much dome for the season. It has 2000kms on it. Redline turbo kit. Turbod since 800kms on the sled. 16000 canadian.

Mpi usese a dobeck fuel box, and they also don't alter stock fuel system or fittings to get desired fuel like silber does

How is boost level and altitude compensation handled?
What happens if the turbo is removed on a reflashed ecu?
Can Silber reflash to the factory map? I would assume any dealer could.
Any issues with the Silber map being inadvertently overwritten if the sled visits the dealer?

Hello,

The boost pressure is controlled by the Turbosmart External Wastegate, the kit comes with 3,5,7,10,12 psi springs.

The ecu can be flashed back to stock by us, or any dealer with Buds. Also Buds program is still fully functional with the flashed ecu. Just don't have the dealer reprogram the ecu as it will over write our program. If this is done the ecu will need to be sent back to us to flash the turbo tune back into it.

Thanks and happy sledding.

ok but in buds to reset maintenance hours or simply change metric to standard you have to write the Ecu to write the new changes, I feel this would wipe out your tune each time?

Boondocker has for years with EBC(electronic boost control) and ADA(air density advantage) with our turbo built engines( Lindermann ported and cut heads) we could set the boost level at 10 psi here at the shop as the rider goes up in elevation the box automatically brings the boost level up to compensate for the loss in air density and adjusts the fuel accordingly as well. On average from about 2500 ft up to 7000 ft we would see an increase of 2-3psi of boost pressure all done by the fuel controller itself, which eliminates the need for the rider to mess with fuel numbers. We will see shortly how the MPI kits are in comparison.

Which turbo kits actually does boost compensation??

Mcx does. Not that big a deal; one could always add a boost tee.
Coincidentally their website claims an 850 kit is in development. Their Yamaha setups were pretty decent.

One other question I have is regarding oil. One of the rave lines is rerouted to the turbo, while the other is split to feed both the raves. Are the raves now starved of oil to an extent? Their literature says the oil delivery is adjusted in the ecu flash. I wonder how much so? This could be a significant advantage of this kit IMO.

Personally, I like the direction of this kit in most aspects, as long as it performs as claimed.

Feel the same way, no oil pump, wiring for pump, no oil tank, plumping for tank.. All gone, just a nice clean line that runs from the raves ofpver to turbo and dead headed on bottom..

I had called Paul at Impuse about it last year and he said they looked into it, but manufarce of turbo thought it was a bad idea for turbo bearing life.. But life has never been a problem on the kits silber has done in the past they reassure us..and raves still operate just fine

plan to dead head the Impuse kit this year as well and clean that crap all up, had a fuse go last year that took pump down and cost me a turbo and riding for a month.. Not again if I can help it

After talking with Justin at the sled show and getting into the ecu flash and a few extras, i now how a Silber 850 in my fleet this year. I have a 15 t3 with a boost it alt comp kit, and a 15 t3 stocker (should anything happen i cant have my season come to an end) and now a 17 850 Silber. It was purchased at the sled show, should be here in a few weeks time. I will make a video of what comes in the box and i will also make a video of the install so everyone can see how it goes in, fit and finish, etc. I will also post videos of it thought the season, i run usually 40+ riding days a season so im going to try and split it up between the boost it and the silber and ill give an honest review. Im not paid or sponsored, so my reviews will not be biased. If its amazing ill say it, if its not ill say it.

No, the ecu needs to be pulled out and sent for a re flash. They are setting up ride whistler to be able to do the flash here in Canada for us so that will be a plus for anyone else buying here. I have really high expectations for this kit solely based on ecm flash. If this works like it supposed to its a game changer not only for the turbo industry but for Silber themselves.

Did they give you any idea of when they might get the re-flash set up for Ride Whistler? Currently waiting on a kit and would sure be nice to be able to get the ECM flashed locally
