Sicamous slide kills one Jan.18-2010

I hear a person got killed yesterday afternoon and one person recieved two broken legs in Sicamous.The body has not been recovered yet,I'll post more as I find more out.

Please everyone be careful out there,already to many this year have been hurt or payed the ultimate price with their lives.

Don't know any details other than SAR is there this morning. I was told it happend 3 km. north of the Quest cabin. Very unfortunate. My deepest condolences to the family. Be carful everyone!

I have an idea where it was, and its always a bad area. Its a very windloaded slope, with a large cornice at the top every year.
Hate hearing of these tragedies over and over, condolences to the family and friends and a speedy recovery to the injured.
