Last bunch, these are with my Pentax Ist DS2 cropped frame camera w 100-300mm zoom (my race track camera).....some are from quite a distance away....need a longer zoom for the Canon's, I've dusted a couple of camer's over the years at race track's....the newer and higher end bodies and lenses are more dust proof but dust still finds a away in after a few years....

Went to the Austin round of MotoGP a couple weeks ago and was busy snapping pics the entire weekend. Tough getting clear shots on bikes moving that quick but managed to get quite a few that worked out and wanted to share.

Thanks! It took awhile on the first day to get the timing when they were going so quick but figured it out. My next step is to get the crisp focused shot on the bike and the massive blur in the background. PM me anytime you want to do some shooting!

Try zooming way out with a telephoto lens... 2.8 or larger thats how you get bokeh. Have to be careful that you do not loose focus on the object you are taking pics of. Sometimes if you do a close up for instance the focus point say the eyes or nose are super crisp but the ears will start to blur. So adjust zoom and try again or try a slightly larger aperture say a 3.5. You can also alter the distance between the subject in focus and the background with primes.

He's going for a panning shot not a blurred bokeh shot so lower shutter speed (1/30 ish), high f stop and a tripod lol, the you track your subject in a pan motion. Result it appears like the subject is moving at a "high speed" and yes Ducati let's shoot!
