i will be bouncing around anywhere between 2000-9000' asl with my M8. should i spend the money on 3 sets of cat weights, or are the adjustable type any good? i have some MTXs and dont like them. i like Cutlers design with the set screws you can swap out... it looks like you can do it with the weights in the clutch which would be nice. any input on these weights?

I use the Dalton adjustables on my M1000 and they are super easy to adjust, just change the set screws. No need to remove clutch weights. Pretty sure the Cutlers are the same as the Daltons.

i was actually just comparing the two. they seem very similar. i was reading a thread on snowest about them and some say that one is heavier on the heel (lighter on the tip) than the other one. but you should be able to adjust that by positioning the set screw wherever you like it in the weight...

I run mds clutching setup. My setup is for 6-8000ft with stock secondary. Works good in the mountians which is where I need it to work. At home (2500ft) all I do is swap secondaries. I have a spare secondary with 44 degree helix. Works great and it only take 2 minutes to go from mountains to flatland clutching and no f*&^ing around with little set screws. Also gives me quicker upshift so I can pass my buddies on th the trail. I am happy with my decision because the swap is so easy and I have a spare secondary if required. You can get new secondaries on catcountry.com for less than $300. Its not the absolute perfect clutching at home but more than meets my needs.
