short block

anyone no where i can get a shot block for an 800r. looks like i have antifreeze coming out the bottom.

was a common problem on '08 XP's, are you sure it isn't coming from a hose connection somewhere?

yeah big. will have to finish putting the rev back together, start looking for a short block i'd guess, 2700 canada, 1700 in us, may have to go to montana for a few days.

not sure at this time, haven't started the take apart process yet. dosen't look promising.

Don't jump the gun. There is a hose, a pump gasket and a gasket for the lower cover that could be leaking.

Martins had 4-800HO and 8- 800R when i picked mine up over a month ago. They keep pretty good stock on these. Thats the west-end location/southside doesn't stock them they just courier between.

have no plug gap on the clutch cylinder and the motor won't turn. brp motors are +/- $2500 + core(700)= 3100-3200. no warranty unless you pay BPR to put it in(+ $1000 to $1500). gets pricey in a hurry.

Call Mark @ 780-886-1420 he has a complete engine with 500 miles for 2600

i read in a magazine BRP was offering re-man short blocks for around 1500ish

not in canada , us i can get one $1650, no warranty unless BRP installs. in canada the cheapest i've quoted was 2300 + core + shipping. 3100 - whatever core return. yeah you have to pay to play.
