Priced out some Cooper highbay Leds for the shop, pretty pricey but lots of output.

What everyone putting in their shops?

Philips FBX24LL40-UNV LED HIGHBAY. Installed 10 in a 40x80 shop!! ... Daylight!
Awesome, I was hoping to hear from someone running these.

How much and where did you buy them from?

From the spec sheet I see those are 24000 lumen.

Guessing that is an 18ft wall???

24,000lm x 10 lights = 240000lm

40'x80' = 3200sqft

240000lm/3200sqft = 75 lm/sqft

I wonder if 192lm/sqft would be too much?

Good gawd I hate the NDP, I don't know if I could bring myself to use that program.

How much a light are they giving?

EECOL Electric from Saskatoon. Not cheap, got them through one of my brothers construction company, so I may have gotten a deal ???? Or not.

Just installed 12 of these in a 36x40x11.5' garage and it is bright got them at eecol for 100 a light but make sure if you go that way you can only put 5 on a 15 amp breaker, another option was they make a retro hi bay screw in bulb to replace the 400 watt hi bay lights that are bright and cost is around 80 per bulb

I have them in my shop and they work great. Cant remember the cost. The only regret I have is not putting another set in a different location when the garage door is open as one set is somewhat blocked.

Installed alot of t5s including in our shop we used the 6 tubers. Can only put 3 or 4 per circuit cant remeber the exact draw, if leds woulda been out back then i woulda went the led route. Some batches of t5s came with ****ty ballast but we have had good luck with ours. Tubes were around that 6 bucks each not sure wjat they are now. T5s do put out good light but leds are worth the extra coin in my opinion

Anyone get any of their carbon tax dollars back out of the NDP through this program?

I have hear stories of guys getting $200/fixture back.....

Any truth in this?
