anyone know how the road is in shelter bay? still lots of snow? logging? planning on heading there next week to do some scouting, just wondering how far i can drive in
road is open, not sure about hauling take it easy, they know it is a well traveled road just drive slow till you get where you are going or see a truck. Better yet if you enjoy exploring as I do get a bush radio, well worth the money.
Two weeks ago they were hauling all of there equipment out it was starting to get pretty muddy. Road is plowed out to 14 km and there is a decent snowpack from there.
We were in the past couple of days. Staging is around km-16. Road is rough and there is a lot of gravel starting to show from km 18 to 20. We ran across a couple of bear hunters and their rhino could not pass through the snow where we unloaded. If you want to ride 51, be prepared to ride some gravel.
