Add another one to turnbuckles and bolting it to the bed. SGI insures anythin that is “permenrently attached” to the truck. If it’s bolted down it’s classified as permanent. I would check with your insurer.

I personally run 4 turn buckles and two big bolts in the front on my deck. Just make sure you put larger backers on the bolts so it doesn’t deform the bed.

Full Lotus deck and the feet on the legs aren't overly big. I cut 10" squares of 3/4" plywood for the feet to sit on. Drilled holes through the box floor at all 4 corners and made plate steel backers (that pull against 2 box ribs) for underneath. I don't use the turnbuckles and the deck doesn't move or sway at all. It is way heavier than it should be, though.

As long as its bolted to the box it’s classified as a permanent fixture.

If you can get a longer bolt and make it to the frame I’d opt for that, but not drill through the frame, rather get a backer that would grab the frame and tighten the bolt to grab the frame with the backer.

Does it matter if its a permanent fixture? Your cargo/sleds are not. Your truck policy will not cover your sleds.

I have my sleds insured on their own.

Deck gets its insurance through the truck’s.

Deck is a permanent fixture on the truck.

That’s why everyone’s gonna do their own research through their broker. Package policies pay for themselves and then some when you need to use them.

Right on.

My liability coverage is extended from the truck, but collision, roll over, theft ect is under my decks own policy. Which makes it nicer when its removed in the summer and stored.

You took out a policy in the deck itself?
My insurance said it was coveraged as cargo......
