I got the dealer to install the std spring scratchers on my assault because they didn't come from factory. I only have like 250 miles on it because of injury last year and they both alrerady snapped off.

I like using them on the trail up to play area because I find my slead likes to run over 150 if they don't have them down.

anyone got any ideas of how to prolong the sliders and keep the sled cool on those hot days.

Shouldn't you be at the beach "on those hot days"?

Scratchers are the way to go. Shouldn't snap if properly installed. As mentioned don't go backwards. And they should have moderate down pressure when extended??

dont back up as stated up top......but also lift them when loading so they dont catch your ramp or deck! even when I back up I get about 3-4 opps and can bend them back before they brake lol.

Try some cable scratchers, saw them in the SLP catalogue, don't need to be lifted when backing up , I've heard good things about them and am going to try them out this year.

They suck.... Just saying...I have buddies that run them and they hate them, they are use less

Do not waste your money unless you like the chit bashed out of your rails!!!

Look into ski mount scratchers, made by racers edge out of Dewinton.

Na used on my sled before I sold it!! Currently in the market for another though!! :d

i use the bolt in the ski .learned it from the hangfire boyz . look at sled shot web for the tech on scatchers, check it out.
