Get v-bar and size to tire.
Extra hanging links are recipe for disaster.
Cut off extra links better than trying to secure.

Got mine at Continental Chain in Edmonton-have the three cam tighteners. Never come loose

In them hills.
Check your owners manual. Most manufacturers won’t allow chains on 20” tires due to fender clearance issues.
Get v-bar chains sized to your tires with cams on the outside chain, and replace the inside boomer with a quick link or quick chain connector. Use at least 2 bungees to take the slack out of the side rails once you get the ends connected together.
Drape the chains over the tire with the ends at the 10 o’clock position, then drive over them until the same ends are about 1foot behind the tire on the ground. Reach inside and hook the inside ends together using the quick link, then hook the outside ends together using the boomer on the outside rail. Then tighten the cams and install the bungees.
Check for tightness after a mile or so and then every few minutes afterwards.
Is this what you meant by quick link or should I cut this off and put something else on?

That is perfect. That’s all you need on the inside rail. Just make sure you get them on good and snug so that doesn’t come apart.

With cam tensioners, is there a left and right chain?
How do you tell?

As long as the cam tensioners are on the outside of the tire. And that the knobs or V of the cross chains are out and not against the tire tread.

I see Canadian chains has a QTY discount, anyone else looking at getting a set maybe we could send them a few of us and save some bucks?

Ordering a set for my small tractor, in Calgary though so not sure how the shipping would work with group buy

Well the cams are tight.

Are you referring to closeing the cams in the direction the wheel spins so spining will not open them?

They're fine. As long as they cammed over and tightened up you’re ok. Just make sure when you tighten the last cam that the rest are still fully tightened. If one looks like it’s not fully cranked tight, put the tool in and snug it up. Make sure you check them after a couple of klicks and tighten/adjust as needed. Roll a window down a bit so you can hear any slapping or banging noises. A little clinking and rattling chain kinda noise is normal.
also, try not to hook the bungee on the cam (you have on one of them) and you’ve got a loose link hanging beside the boomer. Hook one arm of your spider bungee into that so it doesn’t flop around.
