I have an 06 RT 1000 and my brother has an 06 rev800. On the RPM gauge on both sleds where the speedo is, large letters show up the word SCALE and all the lights come on. Also the tach will not work. If you unplug the gauge and plug it back in they start to work again. What is causing this?

Ya i was hoping he would show up. I think it has to do with something not grounding properly.

The button in the guage you use to switch from od, trip, and hrs is stuck in. Start your sled and try to push in and wiggle to get it to come out. Same thing happened to me a couple weekends ago when I did a endo over the handlebars and hit the guage. Good luck

Also comes up on your display when you switch what drivers you are running 8 or 9 tooth. As you notice when you fire your sled up it will flash 9-9 if your running 9 tooth drivers. So if u held in on the the trip button i think it goes into that scale mode.

Always just pops up randomly when your not doing anything with it. Both sleds have 8 tooth 3 pitch drivers. Can I some how change what its thinking it has for drivers.

Yeah u can switch it from 8 to 9 so the speedo recognizes what your running for drivers but as RGM said maybe your button is screwed and u might need a new speedo.
