I remember this one time ( in band-camp) i got caught in an avalanche in Moosejaw. Thank god for my airbag & avi training!

lol that would be funny, except on average a group of me and my friends spend 30+ days a year in the mountians.

Good Post. Very common for us to go places that need avi training.

I was being sarcastic...sheesh.... people understand sledders travel to go sledding
if a person didn't understand the context... "saskatchewan avalanche safety training" sounds kinda funny.

How many people would you need in a course to come out to the south east corner of the province

There is avalanches in Saskatchewan as well, not nearly on any scale to even think of comparing to in the mountains, but in valleys there's often avalanches, got in one myself and covered my sled half way while i was alone. Could have been bad news.

Yes you for sure don't need to be in the mountains for an avalanche...river banks and gullies work as well.

8 or more in a class would make it work.

Ast 1 - SE sask - possibly estevan? - evening class???? The boy and I would be in like flin. I'm sure I cold round up a few more

It would have to be an evening class as SE sask is pretty oil heavy and days of the week matter not for workers, a good portion have evenings off tho.

I spoke with a guy about putting together a course in SE sask.. just waiting to hear back. Will post if something comes up.
