Maybe so, that is probably dietary. Unfortunately I missed it, away at work. Buddy said it shook his house that most of the neighborhood was outside wondering what was going on

I think everything west of the Rockies is considered a quake zone.

Loosening of the snow pack is one thing, but I'd be ten fold more concerned about something like the Frank slide reoccurring. I wouldn't think it would happen to quite the same scale, but even still. Even if a quake itself didn't cause a major rock slide, it would certainly be a prime opportunity to form new big cracks in the rock and mountains themselves. Followed by some water filling cracks and freezing. Boom, we all know what could happen after that. This topic is unnerving for me. Scary business imho.
